Wayland show

The Wayland Show at Watton is on Sunday from 10-5  - we shall be there in the Food Hall with tables laden with delicicous cakes, savouries  and jams (and there will be some crafts sneaking in as well !). This is a lovely traditional show, one of the oldest one-day shows in the country, and is well-worth a visit even without us being there...............

New market at Cromer?

There is an information meeting at Cromer Committee Centre on 23rd July, from 1000-1500 to give details of what will be involved in producing for the proposed new Country Market at Cromer. The market hopes to open in October, on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month, and producers are needed.
Country Markets sell home-made / home-grown / handcrafted items - so cooks, gardeners and craft people are all needed - if you just want to help without producing , then you will be very welcome also.
Drop in on the 23rd, or contact Nicky at
UPDATE - Cromer market will open for business at 10am Friday 1st October until 12noon - put it in your diary now - refreshments will be available too!

Easton College open day

Easton College open day is on 6th June, from 1000 - we will have a stall in our usual spot - under the trees on the carpark (nice and shady if we get the hoped-for sunshine! A lovely day out, especially if you like gardening - I am sure a lot of our cooks only come so that they can be first in the queue when the greenhouse opens to buy plants - we end up with our own plant cache behind the gazebo, and it can be quite difficult fitting them in the cars around everything else when we clear up.
Come early if you want a good selection, especially of savouries, as they go very quickly - the cheesy feet are very popular!

Mayday Food Fair

We are back at one of our favourite locations on Monday 3rd May - Gressenhall Rural Life Museum, near Dereham - for the Food Fair, from 100-1700.  Look for us in the courtyard marquee , behind a table of cakes and preserves , -  there will be lots of other local food producers  - there will also be cookery demos during the day in the chapel (fortunately not by us!).

Saturday, 3 April 2010

Come and see us on Easter Sunday at Gressenhall Musuem of Norfolk Life from 1000-1700  - we will be in the courtyard marquee with a good range of cakes and savouries, preserves and small crafts, so if you are looking for that unusual jam, personalised card or even an apron for Granny, come and see us!
There are load of activities for children to do in the museum, fairground rides and a fantastic playground outside if the weather is kind to us
